![]() ![]() Wagner forces may be leaving because Belarusian President Lukashenko refused to finance Wagner after discovering that Russia would not be paying for Wagner. Speculations about the the Wagner Group’s withdrawal from Belarus suggest that aspects of the deal between Russian President Putin and Wagner Group financier Prigozhin have collapsed. A Russian source claimed on August 8 that Wagner forces are conducting the first stage of a withdrawal from Belarus by bussing groups of 500 to 600 personnel from Belarus to Krasnodar Krai and Voronezh and Rostov oblasts and that the second stage will begin after August 13. #rescue #adoptashelterpet #rescuedismyfavoritebreed #houston #adoptdontshop #fosteringsaveslivesĩ August 2023: Highlights of this evening's Ukraine Update from the great team at the Institute for the Study of War: We are not affiliated, or endorsed by the shelter, nor do we represent the shelter.** We are simply a bunch of animal lovers who spend our free time trying to save them all. **This page is run by VOLUNTEERS for the animals. Please enjoy this picture of my giant dog. Thank you in advance for any help you can offer. I am also open to roles outside of copywriting though most of my experience is in this industry, so my qualifications (or lack thereof) may take me out of the running for another posting. I have a Master’s in journalism and have worked in both e-commerce and fintech though I’m open to other industries (really anywhere that will hire me). I have over six years of experience working as a copywriter, and have worked on every kind of deliverable you can think of-from email and organic social to paid media, site copy, OOH and catalog (the list goes on). I don’t need a handout, or anyone’s sympathy, I just need a little help so I am reaching out to this network in case anyone can offer me assistance. My dad died in July of last year and he constituted the entirety of my support system. I was born in Australia but grew up in the US, and my extended family still resides in Melbourne. I don’t have a large support system that can financially help me during a crisis. This bifurcated my employment at my previous employer between New York and Washington and meant that I was ineligible to receive Washington state unemployment benefits. I moved back to Seattle from New York in March of last year when my dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer. However, in a couple of months I will no longer be able to pay my rent, which is scary (obviously). I come onto LinkedIn every day and I see stories of people who were laid off while on maternity leave, or learned they were being let go after 10+ years at a company via an email so I know I’m not the only one facing difficult circumstances at the moment. This is the second time I have been laid off in the last few years, but the job market after my first layoff was entirely different from the current landscape. I get contacted by between 10 and 20 recruiters about various positions every day, most of whom don’t even follow up further when I send them a response, or will schedule a time to call, reschedule several times, and then ghost. Many jobs have been cancelled part way through the interview process or been put on pause, and I have frequently never heard back from positions I’ve interviewed multiple times for at all. In most cases when I have received a response, it’s only after I followed up weeks after concluding my 4th, 5th or 6th interviews to request an update. I have applied to hundreds of jobs, interviewed at 40+, and been ghosted by many of them. I was laid off a couple of weeks before Christmas 2022, and since that time have been unemployed. Swallowing my pride to write this LinkedIn post. ![]()
